Easycare quick studs are suitable for most hoof boots. The brand new Easycare quick studs come in a pack of 16, up to 10 can be used in a single boot, 4 per boot is a common configuration. The quick studs need the quick stud application tool to fit them, and do not penetrate through the sole of the boot. Started holes (5 mm) are drilled in the bottom of the hoof boot and the stud can then be applied whenever needed and removed when not required. Easycare quick studs are ideal to help give extra traction on wet, slippery or muddy ground and are small enough to be safe on some harder surfaces (at the riders discretion). The quick studs are small and round (approx 7mm accross at the widest point and protrude 5mm when in the boot) and ideal for extra traction. The tip and the core of the stud are made of Tungsten Carbide and that the screw portion of the stud is a hardened steel. They are extremely durable and long lasting. Garrett Ford rode 40 miles in them one weekend and said they didn't even look like they had been used. The best thing about the studs is that they are removable. The studs can be installed into the boots for winter and you can take them back out in the spring Easyboot Quick Studs can be used on all Easyboots except Easyboot RX and EasySoaker.
